Welcome to CMXI NEXT Entertainment Academy, a premier hybrid entertainment training academy where passion meets purpose and performers are developed for the future.

At CMXI NEXT, we believe today’s performers need more than dance training. They need confidence, discipline, leadership, professionalism, athleticism, and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing entertainment industry. Our Academy was created to bridge the gap between traditional dance education and the real-world expectations of professional performance.

​

More than a weekly class, CMXI NEXT is an eight-month academy experience that combines technical training, performance development, leadership education, professional development workshops, and industry-inspired learning into one comprehensive program.

Our curriculum has been shaped by years of experience within professional sports entertainment, competitive dance, and live performance. Through those experiences, we have learned from and worked alongside professional coaches, directors, choreographers, performers, and entertainment professionals whose standards have helped influence the culture and educational philosophy of CMXI NEXT.

 

Throughout the season, Academy Artists participate in:

• Weekly online training and skill development

• Monthly guest choreographers and masterclasses

• Monthly professional development workshops

• Leadership and confidence-building education

• Performance opportunities

• Strength, flexibility, and conditioning

• Audition preparation

• Character and professionalism development

• An end-of-season Academy Showcase

Our monthly Professional Development Series goes beyond performance by introducing Academy Artists to accomplished professionals who share valuable insight into leadership, confidence, communication, audition preparation, personal branding, health and wellness, and the mindset required for success both on and off the stage.

​

Our monthly Master Series provides opportunities to learn from guest choreographers, coaches, directors, performers, and industry professionals who bring fresh perspectives, new choreography, and professional expectations into the Academy.

​

At CMXI NEXT, we don’t simply teach routines—we develop complete performers who are prepared to excel in dance, sports entertainment, collegiate programs, commercial performance, and the entertainment industry while building skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

 

Academy Divisions

Rising Stars Company

Ages 4–6

​

Our youngest Academy Artists begin building confidence, coordination, creativity, musicality, teamwork, and a love for performance through fun, engaging, age-appropriate instruction.

​

Next Generation Company

Ages 7–10

​

Academy Artists develop strong technical foundations while building confidence, discipline, stage presence, teamwork, and performance skills that prepare them for continued growth.

​

Spotlight Company

Ages 11–14

​

Students strengthen technique, expand versatility, develop leadership skills, and refine performance quality while preparing for more advanced opportunities.

​

Professional Prep Company

Ages 15–18

​

Designed for Academy Artists pursuing collegiate dance teams, professional sports entertainment, commercial dance, and future careers within the entertainment industry. This division emphasizes advanced technique, audition preparation, leadership, professionalism, and performance excellence.

To ensure each Academy Artist is placed in the division best suited for their age, experience, and goals, all prospective students are asked to complete our New Academy Artist Interest Form.

Once your submission is received, a member of our team will contact you to discuss the program, answer any questions, and provide information regarding placement, registration, and upcoming Academy events.
